A bad gallbladder usually develops slowly over time. There are many types of a bad gallbladder, or gallbladder disease, such as cholecystitis, gallstones, polyps, and biliary dyskinesia.
For each type of bad gallbladder problem, there are different symptoms. However, the main ones that generally span all symptoms of gallbladder problems are:
- Pain on the right side of your body, midway between your belly button and throat
- General abdominal pain
- Jaundice (yellowish eyes and skin)
- Pain in your right shoulder blade
- Gas, nausea, and/or vomiting.
